April Williams, Founder & CEO

Our founder has 20+ years of experience in Medical Administration & Medical Billing Education obtaining the certifications of: Billing & Coding Specialist (CBCS) and Medical Revenue Manager (CMRM).

Her long career includes working for various billing companies, where she handled multiple accounts and directly for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey.

She then transitioned into teaching Health Systems Administration for Harris School of Business.

That lead her to Directing for CDM Institute, a technical school, where she enjoyed guiding, teaching and mentoring students.

After the closing of CDM Institute she opened her own billing company: Impact Revenue Management (IRM).

Due to providers in general medicine being forced into closing their private practices, to join larger health groups from lack of referrals, she closed IRM.

Her passion for Mental Health led her to becoming aware of the severe lack of comprehensive billing & educational resources specific to Mental/Behavioral Health providers.  

As a result, she began taking private billing clients, increasing their revenue, enabling them to focus on growing their practices, and educating them on Medical Billing.

Through her network of clients, it became apparent that there is need for billing services catered to Mental/Behavioral Health Providers, as well as a strong need for teaching new providers how to bill for their services when they are just starting their private practices.

Thus Impact Mental Health Consultants was born.
